It is a simple tool to know about the security of your email address.

This site checks whether your sensitive credentials are compromised in any data breaches and whether it's been leaked publicly on the internet or not.

 

How to check ? 

1. Go to the website https://haveibeenpwned.com/  

2. Enter your email address and press enter.

If you get a response on screen - " Oh no -  pwned ! "

 

Then, it’s time to change your password and secure your account. 
You can check the data breaches to know where your information was leaked.

 

Check the latest data breach and ensure that you have changed your credentials after the breach has occurred. 

What else can you do to ensure security of your account?  

✅Enable 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication)

✅Use a Strong Password. 

•  Use special characters in your password. For example you want to keep your password “serious”. Instead of writing it this way, use special characters and make your password stronger like “$3r!0u$”. This one is harder to crack, guess or brute force.  

✅Use different password for different platforms.        

✅Change your password frequently.
